A popular culinary herb in the Middle Ages, it is now grown mostly for its bright blue, edible flowers that have a cucumber like flavour and as an excellent bee plant. Young leaves can be chopped and added to summer salads, or cooked like spinach. The flowers may be used as a garnish or floated in summer drinks. Full sun. Annual. Ht 60cm
