Dark green speckled leaves year around. Flowers begin blue then turn red when fertilized in late winter/spring. Shady, moist areas - can handle drier spots if shady enough.  Sensitive to environmental toxins. Used for a variety of respiratory ailments, including coughs, colds, bronchial detoxification & can relieve fluid retention. Usually taken as a tea made from dried leaves. Perennial. Ht. 40cm
