BUGLE 'Catlins Giant' 1.3L

A superb ground covering perennial with distinctive large leaves of dark metallic purple, and bearing large colorful blue flower spikes in spring.  Sun or part shade. Once was a popular remedy used as an ointment for bruises & when mixed with honey was recommended for mouth sores. An infusion of dried leaves with boiling water was thought  to lower blood pressure - this was also believed to have a mildly narcotic effect! Eventually grows to 30 x 60cm.
