(Verbascum thapsus)  A rosette of soft woolly grey leaves the 1st year before growing a tall flowering spike the 2nd season. Yellow flowers over a long period of time, even in dry soils. Medicinally it is mainly used to treat coughs and respiratory conditions but also as a poultice topically for wounds, burns and skin infections. Has multiple other uses - tea, dye, toilet paper and candle wicks to name a few! Prefers poor, dry, stony, well drained soils. Full sun.  Ht (flowers) up to 2m
