Narrow green leaves with pink flowers on tall spires. A traditional medicinal herb in many cultures with antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant healing properties. A pleasant tasting tea, used for aiding prostate inflammation and bladder, kidney and urinary tract problems. Young shoots can be eaten like asparagus, young leaves put in salads, the flowers as edible garnishes as well as the larger leaves and tips made into tea. TEA: cut & crush leaves, put in a container to ferment for 2 days, dry in a low heat oven for 20 minutes. Full sun. Perennial. Ht 120cm
