Bronze green foliage and olive shaped flowers with a burgundy eye. Unique flowers make superb bedding or container plants. The leaves and flowers contain 'spilanthol' which is said to numb the mouth and is said to work better than many commercial products. Also has antibiotic, anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory properties. Full sun to light shade. Ht 30cm approx. Treated as an annual in most of NZ but is a tender perennial - makes an interesting houseplant!
