Coarse green leaves with talk spires of pink-purple flowers in mid summer-mid autumn. The fresh or dried flowers can be used to flavour soups and beer, and used to make a tea. An olive-green dye can be made from the leaves. Believed to help regulate the menstrual cycle and ease symptoms of menopause. Its also said to benefit the heart, reduce anxiety, and treat high blood pressure. Hardy perennial. Ht 120cm
